I am trying to trace Ada Florence Elizabeth Bates who was married to Jessie Lampman in 1906. I have traced Jessie from the Souris area in 1906 to Rosetown SK in 1910. But Ada did not go with him (story & obituary on Familysearch.org mention Jessie & 5 children only). I searched the 1911 census' for Souris and did not find that Ada remained in Souris.
Ada's brother is James Herbert Bates who was a Reeve for a few years.
Is it possible that there are other records or stories that would indicate where Ada Florence went after the 1906 census? Maybe there is history on her brother James which mentions her?
My theory is that Florence left with John Norton, a servant on James Herbert Bates land, and went to Oyen AB in 1910 (1911, 1916, 1921 census'). There a daughter Violet Florence was born, who is my husband's grandmother. Florence was a widow on the 1921 census, and died in 1922. The Familysearch.org record for Ada Florence has the death in Oyen, but there is no verifiable source attached and no notes as to a Norton name. I am reluctant to say that Ada Lampman and Florence Norton are the same person without a source.
