There is a Death Record for Jacob Richmond on 12 Mar 1907 in Boston, Massachusetts
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N4MN-438
His father is listed in the record as Okeva Richmond
His Mother's Maiden Name is given as Minnie Reichman
Place of Death and Usual Residence is given as Boston 3 Jerusalem Pl

So it would seem it was the record for the Death of Jacob / Yankel Richmond
who currently shows on Geni as Jacob / Yankel (Everovich / Yeverovich) Richmond
Death: March 12, 1907 (63)
West Roxbury, 3 Jerusalem Place, Boston, Suffolk County, MA, United States
And Father: Akiva / Kivey (Everovich / Yeverovich) Reichman
EXCEPT his mother is given as Sheina / Jennie (Levin) Reichman which is extremely unlikely to be Minnie
And his father's other wife is given as Feiga Reichman which again seems unlikely to be Minnie.

And he is currently shown on Geni as having one child - Ida (Richmond) Rogers = Ida Rogers
Who is shown on Geni as having three parents: Jacob Richmond; Jacob / Yankel (Everovich / Yeverovich) Richmond and Flora / Fruma (Rambach) Richmond
Flora / Froma is currently the wife of Jacob / Yankel
The other Jacob Richmond = Jacob / Yankel Richmond
His death is listed as January 01, 1907 (63) / Boston, Massachusetts, United States -- not March 12
His parents on Geni now are Akiva (KIVEY BEKLERISKER) Reichman and Minnie (Levin) Reichman
He is listed as having 4 children, no spouse is shown for him, no mother shown for any of the 4 children

CORRECTION -
He is listed as having 4 children, no spouse is shown for him, no mother shown for any of the OTHER 3 CHILDREN.

Ida = Ida Rogers
Her Marriage: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FHX4-34P
(Mother listed as Fannie)

Maud - another of the 4 listed as a child of Jacob Richmond, has a Marriage registered in Boston (with her mother listed as Frances) and in Lowell (withe her mother listed as Fannie) - matches spouse shown on Geni. Maud = Maud "Mary" C. Braus
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N4NZ-P5S - Boston
And https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:N4CP-6SB - Lowell

Both profiles for Jacob Richmond show his mother's maiden name as Levin.
Jacob's Death Record - the one I found for Mar. 12 1907 -- gives it as Reichman
Where does Levin come from for her Maiden Name?

Esther Rebecca (Richmond) Solomont = Esther Rebecca Solomont
Is currently listed with 4 parents - Immediate Family:
Daughter of Akiva Reichman; Akiva / Kivey (Everovich / Yeverovich) Reichman; Minnie (Levin) Reichman and Sheina / Jennie (Levin) Reichman
And is a sister of both versions of Jacob Richmond mentioned above.
The Massachusetts Death Record for someone with the name Esther Solomont who died on the date listed on Geni shows parents as
Keva Yeszerovitz and Sima (followed by 3 dashes)
Both the Record and Geni says Death: March 07, 1925
Geni says in Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts -- this Record says in Boston, but Residence Malden.
Both have husband Solomon

You three seem to have had a lot to do with the creation of many of the profiles in this extended and possibly conflated family --
Do you have any family knowledge of any of them?
What about records? Unfortunately Gedcom Imports do not bring over any Documents in a form I can get any value from - -
What records are you aware of for some of these folks?

Private User

Hello Lois. The other two individuals addressed in this message are neither related to me nor known to me. The only profiles in the message thread that are connected to me have the Solomont surname.

I entered these profiles in 2013 and 2014 from my Ancestry research before Geni offered SmartCopy. Perhaps they are not as well sourced as they need to be, agreed.

I have no interest in the Reichman/Richmond line except for:

Esther Rebecca Solomont

https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/40564031/person/20...

Esther is the mother-in-law of my first cousin once removed.

I did enter the original Akiva Reichman (father of Esther) profile in 2013, but in 2019 Geni made Cathy Mendelsohn a manager in 2019 and she is the one who input the GEDCOM. My original notes have been wiped.

None of the others in this family interest me and I cannot help you with your questions about them.

Of note, last year I completed an exhaustive exercise to cull from my Ancestry tree all in-law profiles antecedent to mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law, as well as any in-law siblings except for the in-laws themselves. I no longer have Akiva Reichman in my Ancestry work and no interest going further backways or sideways in the future as I did in the past.

Michael Joseph Kaplan in 2023 entered duplicates for Akiva Reichman and Minnie Levin and did not merge them with my originals, hence the 4 parents in Esther Solomont's profile. He needs to fix this.

I am more than willing to step down as manager of Akiva Reichman and Minnie Levin if we hear from either of these two managers who came on the scene years after I entered these profiles.

In conclusion, Lois, may I ask your interest in these Families? You and I have worked together before, but we are not at all closely related, and I was wondering whether any of these are Max Family to you.

Thanks and Best Regards--GMK

Re: My Interest -
In records in JewishGen for descendants of one of my Ancestral Lines I got down to someone who married an Everovich -
Wondering if maybe they came to the US, and how common was that name, I recently popped it into a Geni Search and found this family in the US - same area a lot of my relatives lived - and all the rest of the profiles with that surname were probably from JewishGen records for Lithuania.

So thought I would take a minute to see if I could tell if these went back to mine.
And discovered it seemed to be a mess here.

" I got down to someone who married an Everovich" - a woman, so descendant line, if any, would be Everovich.

Akiva (KIVEY BEKLERISKER) Reichman
is Akiva (KIVEY BEKLERISKER) Reichman
Birth: circa 1790 in Rypin, Rypin County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
Death: circa 1887 in Russia
Husband of Minnie (Levin) Reichman

Akiva / Kivey Everovich
is Akiva / Kivey (Everovich / Yeverovich) Reichman
Birth: circa 1802 in Butrimonys, Trakai, Vilnius, Lithuania
Death: circa 1887 in Lithuania
Husband of Feiga Reichman and Sheina / Jennie (Levin) Reichman

I do not fault anybody who did not rush to merge those two.
It seems quite possible they are supposed to be for different people
Birth differs

Tablet decided to post while I was mid-sentence. Was about to edit to say

Estimate for birth differs by about 12 years.
Also Place of Birth seems totally different.
And no idea what BEKLERISKER refers to, but does not seem to be Everovich / Yeverovich

Fair enough, and thank you for the detailed answer to the question I asked about the interest you are showing in these lines.

Going back into Ancestry, I no longer find the tree that had the evidence for the 1790-1887 Akiva I entered in 2013.

The individual representing himself on Ancestry as "vjlp1062" appears to have the best tree that mentions this Everovich connection. A profile for the 1802-1887 Akiva is here:

https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/3378467/person/332...

His profile for Esther Reichman Solomont is here:

https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/3378467/person/332...

Looking at his tree, it seems he has descendant information for some of Esther's slblings; notably nothing for James Solomont or my family which are descended from his children when he married in.

The two cemeteries housing the Solomont and Koven graves are adjacent on Grove Street, West Roxbury, Boston area. This link is to a mausoleum style plaque showing Solomon, Esther, James, and Fannie (wife of James, my first cousin once removed):

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/139111777/solomon-solomont#view...

That plaque resembles the one in the Koven cemetery. I suspect both were erected and paid for by Hy Kohn (Cohen), who was married to my great-aunt Ida Dora Koviensky (Koven).

So you can start there for the Everovich search you seek. I don't believe I've ever asked, but do you have a tree on Ancestry? Mine is of course public and free for all to search, errors and all ...

Simplified Geni connectivity:

You

→ Mark Seymore Koven your father

→ Jacob Morris (Jack) Koven (Koviensky) his father

→ Dora Ida Kohn (Koviensky) his sister

→ Frances M. (Fannie) Solomont (Cohen) her daughter

→ James Solomont her husband

→ Esther Rebecca Solomont (Richmond) his mother

The Massachusetts Death Record mentioned above for Esther Solomont has she died on March 07, 1925 and age at time of Death as 74 - which suggests born about 1851.
Parents are listed as Keva Yeszerovitz and Sima (followed by 3 dashes)

There is a family listing Gravestone and an individual Gravestone for her in Findagrave
https://images.findagrave.com/photos/2020/153/139111767_1701cb14-9f... gives her as Esther Reeva Solomont 1851 - 1925
https://images.findagrave.com/photos/2020/153/139111767_f3ea4cf7-2c... gives her name in Hebrew, no dates

JewishGen Memorial Plaques has an entry for
SOLOMONT, Esther Rebekah - Date of Death: 07-Mar-1925 = 11-Adar-5685 -- Hebrew Name: Ester Rivka bat Akiva -- Synagogue/Society Name: Congregation Beth Israel -- in Malden, MA

JOWBR has: SOLOMONT, Esther R. -- Date of Death: 07-Mar-1925 -- Plot: Section: 7 Side: 6 Lot: 8 Grave: 74 - Cemetery Name: Adath Jeshurun -- on Grove Street in West Roxbury MA

I concur with all of your recent findings, most of which I had already referenced into Esther's profile when I entered it in 2013.

Since then, looking at the Revisions tab, there has been a shipload of managers added by Geni, then removed by Geni, a mess, as you said before. I'm not responsible.

Of the currently listed managers on Esther's profile:

Elaine Lightstone is active, but not very, having no visible activity in 2023 or 2024 other than somebody asking her a question in December 2023. She is not related to me, but she is circuitously related to another Koviensky in my MAX Family through three degrees of marriage separation. She has done nothing to improve this profile, so I don't know why Geni added her.

Cathy Lee Mendelsohn is an unbadged PRO last active January 3, 2024. Evidently she merged her Esther into what used to be my Esther in 2019. Beyond that, she has done nothing further to improve this profile.

Private User is a badged PRO last active January 18, 2024. He merged my Esther into his Esther on May 16, 2023. He is not related to me, but he is circuitously related to one of James Solomont's siblings through one degree of marriage separation.

I mention his name here so the two of you can work together in the future.

Private User Would you like to attain management of this profile? As I mentioned earlier in this thread, Esther is the only one connected to me. Either way I want no more to do with it, and I will gladly give it to you. If you would not, I will wait to see what Private User has to say.

Over and out for tonight.

Gary,
Private User -
I looked at the link you gave for your tree
https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/40564031/person/20...
which for AncestryLibrary is
https://www.ancestrylibrary.com/family-tree/person/tree/40564031/pe...

And it currently has her as born 30 AUG 1854 • Russia - not 1851 as records above indicated, and as it is on Geni.
And it includes the info that "YOB from her burial record"
I believe Esther's place of birth on Geni as "Rypin, Rypin County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland" came from you
But again, that is not what I see on your Tree on Ancestry.

Nor do you show parents for her anymore on Ancestry - but is that because you no longer believe her father was Akiva Reichman born circa 1790 in
Rypin, Rypin County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland or just because you have chosen to prune back your tree?

I have changed Esther's Place of Death on Geni to Boston because that is what her Death Record says.

Private User

I updated Esther's profile on Ancestry to reflect YOB Abt. 1851 and POB Butrimonys, Alytus, Lithuania based on the more recent evidence over the past 10 years. I also added the JewishGen 1858 revision list record which was not available in that form on Ancestry in 2013. Everovich all the way. "Kivel" in that record is the Litvish equivalent of the Hebrew "Akiva".

As I said before, the 1854 and Rypin came from another Ancestry tree of a known researcher. I believe that person is now deceased, and his descendants deleted his tree. Not the first time I've run across that.

Her grave in Hebrew distinctly reads "Esther Rivka bat R' Akiva". R' meaning "Mister" in English, "Herr" in German, "Senor" in Spanish, yada.

I do believe that Akiva Everovich is the father of Esther. Indeed I have chosen to prune back my tree in the case of in-law ancestors any father back than the parents of the known in-law.

I am doing nothing more with this Geni profile. Please accept the management offer I just tendered to you. Then I can drop mine. Thanks.

Private User -

On JewishGen I saw the 1834 and 1850 Revision Lists for Kivel, for some reason missed the 1858 one.
Thanks.
On the 1850 List Kivel's wife is Sheima, age 38.
On the 1858 List his wife is Sheina age 48. [And no Age Last given]

On Esther's Death Record her mother is Sima.
That would be Sheima.

Your guess - Sheima and Sheina the same person, or two different wives?

Same person. The ages in these revision lists were hand entered. The clues are the relative ages of the entire family unit, in other words one would expect the father and mother to age appropriately along with the children.

That was my first thought. Then I started wondering, because others that were on the 1850 and 1858 Census had a "Age Last" but she didn't.
Something maybe descendants can try to confirm via DNA, but for now, will go with the same person.

There is a JOWBR Record for Jacob Richmond which just gives his death as 1907 -- but when Ancestry transforms the entry from JewishGen into an Ancestry Record they say: Death Date 01 Jan 1907
JewishGen says they got the info from jcam.org
Jcam shows also shows the date that way.
But since it is Cemetery: Cong. Beth Israel
of. Centre Street. West Roxbury -- Section: 12. -- Grave: 08
It is 100% Clear it matches the FindaGrave entry for Jacob Richmond https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/70619485/jacob-richmond
With the photo of the gravestone that clearly says he died March 13, 1907

So Jacob / Yankel Richmond = Jacob Richmond
and Jacob / Yankel Richmond = Jacob / Yankel (Everovich / Yeverovich) Richmond
really have same birth and death dates.

But are parents truly the same or ?

I merged the Jacobs.

It would be really, really nice if we could find a Death Notice or Obit
listing all or some of he and those currently shown as his siblings as siblings
Currently he is shown as
Brother of Esther (Everovich) Solomont; Mary (Richmond/Reichman) Aronson; Joseph Richmond; Moses Richmond; Israel Richmond; and Rachel Richmond
Half brother of David (Yeverovich / Leibovich) Lebowich

It would be nice if we could find a Death Notice or Obit
showing all or some of those shown as his children as siblings
Currently his children are shown as: Ida (Richmond) Rogers; Bessie Richmond; Celia Richmond and Maud (Richmond) Braus

doing a search on Richmond at jcam bings up the following at Cong. Beth Israel

Richmond, Moses Date of Death: 06/23/1902 -- Section: 11 -- Grave: 10
Richmond, Jacob Date of Death: 01/01/1907 -- Section: 12 -- Grave: 08
Richmond, Dina Date of Death: 01/01/1923 -- Section: 13 - Side: No -- Grave: 22
Richmond, Joseph Date of Death: 01/01/1909 -- Section: 13 -- Side: No -- Grave: 23
Richmond, Flora G. Date of Death: 01/01/1910 -- Section: 13 -- Side: No -- Grave: 07
Richmond, Sarah Date of Death: 01/01/1946 -- Section: 16 -- Side: No -- Grave: 18
Richmond, Hyman Date of Death: 01/01/1941 -- Section: 17 - Side: No -- Grave: 36a
Richmond, Rebecca Date of Death: 01/01/1938 -- Section: 17 - Side: No -- Grave: 36b
Richmond, Louis I. Date of Death: 06/21/1909 -- Section: 29 -- Side: No -- Grave: 26
Florence. d 1987
Sylvia. d 1995
Richmond, Isaac Date of Death: 01/01/1928 -- Section: 34 -- Side: No -- Grave: 16
Richmond, Julia Date of Death: 01/01/1921 -- Section: 8 -- Side: No -- Grave: 29

Hyman above has findagrave Memorial: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/64606799/chaim_pincus-richmond
It says Parents Jacob Richmond 1840–1907 and. Flora Richmond 1840–1910
and spouse Spouse Rebecca Ellisevitch "Beckie" Goldman Richmond - 1860–1938 - links for all, w gravestone photos - they match 4 of the above
Plus 6 children
Plus says sibling Mary Richmond Braus - unknown–1947 - no gravestone photo

Hyman Richmond above, whom findagrave says is son of Jacob and Flora is likely Hyman Pinchus Richmond
His wife there is Rebecca Ellisevitz Goldman
whom Geni suggests is the same as Rebecca Ellisevitz Goldman
I currently have no idea why that Geni Profile for Hyman Richmond has last name Kritchmar
-- Hyman Pincus (Richmond) Kritchmar -- it also has AKA Everovich

So - Currently his children are:
Hyman Richmond, Ida (Richmond) Rogers; Bessie (Richmond) Rogers; Celia Richmond and Maud (Richmond) Braus.

In later years, Maud went by Mary, and she and Arthur Braus lived in New York City.
On 1947 Death Record she is Mary Richmond Braus -- born March 1876 -- born Russia -- in New York City 70 years -- age 71 years 7 months -- Father: Jacob Richmond -- MN Mother: Fannie Kovner

Ida Richmond married in 1895 to Simon Rogers -- her age 19 - born Russia -- her parents listed as Jacob & Fannie

Bessie (Richmond) Rogers died in childbirth or just after in 1897 -- her death record gives her as Bessie Rogers, Richmond for her maiden name -- husband Coppel Rogers -- place of death and residence as 77 Everett Ave, Chelsea -- born Russia -- Parents: Jacob Richmond and Fannie Gitel, both born Russia

On the 1900 Census,
Ida and Simon Rogers with children
Morris Rogers, Widow, and children (often listed as Morris C Rogers, almost certainly same person ax Bessie's husband Coppel)
and Hyman Richmond with wife and children
All appear on same Chelsea, Mass. Census page - 75 Everett for Ida and Simon, other two at 77 Everett
Could be coincidence, could be family wanting to live close to each other.

It looks like Celia Richmond married Oscar Grosberg in 1889 - in Boston -- her age 21 - born Russia -- parents listed as Jacob & Fannje
There is an article about their marriage: https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-boston-globe/134694665/
It identifies her as "Celia Richmond, daughter of J. Richmond"
And says there were two bridesmaids: "Miss Ida Grosberg and Miss Ida Richmond"
And two groomsmen: M. Grosberg and Simon Rogers

The Profile for Celia Richmond was imported to the tree on Aug 26, 2019, and for the whole time since then has had:
Birth: July 1869
Poland Rus
Death: October 20, 1934 (65)
West Roxbury, Massachusetts, United States

And there is a findagrave memorial for Celia Grosberg
And with a Gravestone https://images.findagrave.com/photos/2020/226/132684760_1597426058.jpg showing
Celia Grosberg
Born 1869
Died October 20, 1934
ie matching dates!
