Edward Simpson Terry, {Australian Immigrant} was born in 1819 in Australia and is on Geni as the son of John Terry, Free Settler "Surry" 1819 and Martha Terry, Free Settler "Surry" 1819

John and Martha moved to Tasmania in 1819 with their children, and the shipping records list his son Edward as aged 11 which matches to their son Edward Churchill Terry, Free Settler "Surry" 1819 born in 1808

What is the source for Edward Simpson TERRY born 1819 being their child?

On Edward Simpson TERRY's profile it says
"Edward married (1) Mary Ann Boothman on 23 November, 1844 in St Matthew's, New Norfolk, Tasmania. Mary was born on 5 November, 1823 and died on 2 April, 1890. She was buried in St Mary's cemetery, Gretna, Tasmania"

The Tasmania marriage record shows that Edward TERRY aged 36 married Mary Ann BOOTHMAN age 21 at Hobart on 23/11/1844. This would be Edward Churchill TERRY

On Edward Simpson TERRY's profile it says
"Edward married (2) Mary Noble on 16 December, 1850 in Hobart, Tasmania Permission to marry a convict: Edward Terry (free) Mary Noble "Stately", both residing in Hobart, December 1850."

Mary NOBLE "Stately" married Edward TERRY in 1850
She requested her children Mary Ann TERRY (8), Edward TERRY (3) and Elizabeth Ellen TERRY (5) to be admitted to the Queen's Orphan School as their father Edward TERRY "Asia" had died on 3/4/1859 aged 38
Mary NOBLE then married Job WILLIAMS on 10/9/1860

Mary married a convict Edward TERRY who arrived on the "Asia"

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/204855795/edward-simpson-terry contains a photo of the gravestone that has been incorrectly labelled as Edward Simpson TERRY 26/6/1819 to 17/11/1868

Memory of Edward TERRY Esq who departed this life of the 17th Nov 1868 aged 60 years For 21 years Churchwarden St Mary's
And of his wife Mary Ann who departed this life 2 April 1890 Aged 66 years

This is the gravestone for Edward Churchill Terry, Free Settler "Surry" 1819 and Mary Ann Terry

There was an Edward Simpson TERRY who died in NSW on 21/7/1868 aged 50 years
