Haplo groups advanced level results v. lover level results

Geni doesn't know the FTDNA-haplotree and that makes the system list both high level (e.g. BIG-Y700) along lover level (e.g. Y37..Y111) in the same profile.

The ideal solution would be some sort of interaction between FTDNA and Geni in the background but we should also think of some temporary solutions to cater for the situation. One could be assisted removal of lower level reult on request by member and done by curator.

The primary solution involves a check between Geni and FTDNA into the brances and a removal of lower results where applicable. This could happen just daily in non-peak hours. This requires FTDNA making available the haplotree structure, only that and Geni the intellegence to see what is higher up on the tree against lower. I know the haplotree evolves, but that doesn't matter if the check is done every day. To make sur it works FTDNA and Geni need to make rules for taking care evolving haplos.

This probably sounds complicated but I believe that it is technically fairly straight forward. It may influence the database in some way as I don't know how currently Geni operates with haplo groups.
