Abadiah Davis is seen as a granddaughter in the 1895 biography and a SAR paper made her daughter. I think it's accepted that she was born 1728 and marrying a Floyd so this is incorrect.

The other names are missing in most researched places such as Wikitree which has a Project Protection on this family.
William is attached there https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davis-60560 with no sources but two children attached without a mother. Odd.
The Bio ONLY names:
CHILDREN OF NATHANIEL DAVIS AND HIS WIFE ELIZABETH HUGHES
1 Robert Davis who became, when quite young, his father’s agent and assistant in business. On account of his densely black hair and eyes, and his dark Indian complexion he was nicknamed “the black Davis” to differentiate between him and his fair- haired father. He married quite young, and removed to Georgia with his bride. After the Floyds went to Kentucky several of the Davises removed there from Georgia and settled in the eastern part of Christian County, which part was named Todd after the division of the county. One of the descendants, born in Todd County and carried to Mississippi as a weanling, lived to become the President of The Confederate States of America.
2 Mary Davis, who married Samuel Burkes, of Hanover County, the ancestor of several prominent Virginia families.
3 Martha Davis, who married Abraham Venable, another prominent family whose descendants number many prominent persons.
4 Abadiah Davis, who married William Floyd.
{my note: *this is the granddaughter! I have proposed a merge. This one shows born 1690. William Floyd is seen as born 1720 and a child Sally married a Powell--- they are correctly situated here on Geni.}

WeRelate https://www.werelate.org/wiki/Person:Hannah_Davis_%2898%29 has a daughter Hannah Susanna Davis wife of David Cox 1689-1765
She is perhaps the same as the attached child at Wikitree with no sources and not mentioned in the Bio: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davis-14552

But unlikely since her profile at Wikitree is entirely different https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Davis-14552:
Susanna Williams formerly Davis
Born 1684 in Isle of Wight, Colony of Virginia, British Colonial America
Daughter of Nathaniel Davis and Unknown (Hughes) Davis
Sister of Robert Davis, William Davis, Mary Elizabeth (Davis) Burks, Abediah Davis and Martha Hannah (Davis) Venable
Wife of Thomas Williams — married [date unknown] [location unknown]
Wife of Thomas Capehart — married [date unknown] [location unknown]

Mary Elizabeth Davis (Hughes) is my 9th great -

These lines are always being messed up one way or another. It is crazy how many times something has to be corrected-
The Floyd family has great interest in these lines too.
Maybe once fixed locking them would be great interest.

Tery Kempf my granny too! Another shared line.
I really need to put the SNPs for our matches in my tree.
This profile is relationship locked.
The ONLY children I have in my personal tree are Robert ‘the Black’ Davis; Mary Burks (Davis); Martha Venable (Davis).
I think William likely needs disconnected and will watch the profile for this family at Wikitree

This and a handful of others are popular and need constant watching, I agree

Yes another shared line-
I added info under Nathaniel Davis -
Should help with lines.

Vexed and controversial family.

I do not trust online trees including geni’s.

Do a one at a time biography for each grand child first, then each child.

Well- according to Floyd’s there needs to be a chg

Abadiah Davis is a girl and married William Floyd, this is from descendants on Floyd’s lines

As I said, really, really controversial. The Floyd descendants don’t all agree.

Post links to profiles to refresh my memory, with specific actions requested.

There’s a Floyd family historian who seemed very sharp, she does the reunion updates. If you look at discussions you’ll find her posts or references to her work.

WHY has "The Geni Team" merged all these children BACK in?:
https://www.geni.com/merge/view?revision_id=85365866290
Abadiah is correctly placed in Geni as a granddaughter from what I know and now she has a duplicate in the wrong generation--- sane as at Wikitree--- I had to disconnect a 1690 Abahiah from a 1720 William Floyd and their Powell daughter who was born in 1741.
There are only three genealogies-- children with families that have been worked on, here on Geni and I find none in public trees with any records or DNA evidence

*same not sane but well,... maybe. Insane.
This happens with many trees that people see as having NA.
They pile on children.
But for mixed AA and European, they disconnect even when there is DNA proof.

“Geni team” is merges from bottom up, it’s not a person.

I undid the merge.

Erica Howton , PLEASE undo the merge and send the duplicates for deletion?!

Indeed.

Tery Kempf these photos are from your album. Please tag the original profiles. They don't belong to a living zombie man named Abadiah. He does not exist.
https://www.geni.com/photo/view?album_type=photos_of_me&id=6000...

Erica Howton , thank you. A million times.
Thank you. These are locked so I still don't understand HOW merges and Gedcoms can ADD children?

Erica Howton , locks will not allow me to change Mary Elizabeth Davis to a female.

Revisions don’t tell me. At one point there was a bug blowing through locks, But I don’t remember the dates.

I’m detaching zombie Abadiah so Terry can get her documents into the right place - or, easier, just give me a link to the real Abadiah and I’ll merge.

Tery Kempf here is Abadiah Abadiah Floyd
I am quite protective of her profile. I KNOW her descendants did a lot of research and work on her and it matters.

Zombie Abadiah is here:

Abadiah Floyd

Mary Elizabeth changing genders is a known bug in undo merge.

The rest of zombie dups now sent off to the ether.

==Biography==
She is the granddaughter, not daughter, of Nathaniel Davis and Mary Hughes.
The notes below explain the missing generations which are explained by the Dear Rush Letter which a copy of its DAR Exhibit Log Picture is in the media section. The missing generations are explained by the Dear Rush Letter. See the media section for the logged in letter for DAR with a number for it.

FOLKS confuse Abadieh Davis for Abadiah Floyd

Thank you again! Erica Howton and Tery Kempf

William Floyd and Abadiah; Davis were married in Amherst County in the autumn of 1747. He was county surveyor and captain of the county militia, until the beginning of the Revolutionary War, when his second son, Charles, took his place and went into the service of Virginia as a part of the State force, reserved to beat back Indian forays along her lengthy northwestern borders. The children of William and Abadiah; Floyd were twelve in number, as follows: SALLIE FLOYD, married Wyatt Powell and became the ancestress of many noted people in each succeeding generation in Virginia....

The Abadiahs were not locked, they are now. And zombie Abadiah merged into the real one, which is a lot faster & easier than retagging.

Tery Kempf - always looks for the Master profile and not insane new duplicates. And post links!!

I think William needs to go. He has no info. No spouse and no children and is not mentioned in the Floyd accounts

Look at book Cynthia posted above and on page 12 - it shows kids for Nathaniel and Nicketti had four kids. There is Abadiah Davis that marries William Floyd.

Abadiah was a popular name back then
