Vicie Christian (Asbury) - Who are Vicie's biological parents?

Vicie Christian seems to be absent from both the 1800 and 1900 US census data... anywhere in West Virginia.
The unsourced allegation is that she was born in Mingo County which is not that close to the homes of the ASBURY or BEAN families.

Thacker, Mingo County, WV & Garland. McDowell are 44 rather treacherous miles apart.

When it comes to the birthplace of Vicie, the family more likely to have been involved some way is that of the McCoys...
Missouri Kathryn Asbury was married to a McCoy when Viicie was born. This man is Albert James McCoy, Sr. , whose father was the illustrious Lt. Selkirk 'Kirk' McCoy of (emphasis added) MINGO

Selkirk was, shall we say colorful: "Selkirk McCoy was sentenced to life imprisonment for the death of several Hatfields"

but I digress:
Let's get back to the 1887-1910 tie period and try to find where VICIE was living. I've already made multiple stabs at that without luck.

Let's remember as well that VICIE married young. 1904

This would seem to suggest that if SALLIE/Sarah was her mother that both of them came back from Mingo County during the 1890s but that by the 1900 census (when VICIE was 12) they weren't living togthether.

Parenthetically, none of SALLIE's children were living with her.
SALLIE is recorded (in the 1900 census of McDowell) as having had four children.
we might surmise that these were
1) Francis Kirk Asbury
2) Amandie Robinson (Asbury)
3) Martha Turley
4) and VICIE : Vicie Christian
Again, in the 1900 census : all four of SALLIE's children a recorded as still being alive.

I would first GUESS that VICIE is SALLIE's daughter but that DAVID is not her father.
Why?
As a 12 year old she not living with her mother in 1900, she would be expected to have been living with her father DAVID... but she wasn't.

This suggests a foster-child situation for VICIE.... but, search as I might, I cannot find her, either as a a "VIcie" or as a "Louvice" or as a "Louisa"...

I'd love e some help here.

Another item: SALLIE disappaars from any records after the 1900 census.
No date of death, no remarriage, nothing

another item: SALLIE's children marry and move West but SALLIE has so far not been found by me in West coast census data of 1910 or beyond.

According to this, her mother was born in Kentucky (!)... yet SALLIE was definitely born in West Virginia.SALLIE's parents are:
Sgt. Jesse Weber Bean (CSA) and
Nancy Jane Bean . None of that couple's children were born in KY.

So, for purposes of argument, let's ten assume that SALLIE is not VICIE's mother, but that DAVID Asbury is.
Who then would DAVID have impregnated in early 1887, 9 months before Vicie's birth?

candidate #1 is Missouri:
She was born on August 20, 1863
KY (so she is a match with VICIE's allegation in Washington State census data)

Checking her other children with DAVID

was born February 27, 1889 in

This is a scant 14 months after VICIE's birth... but it "works".

I will therefore change VICIE's birth parents to DAVID and MISSOURI today.
