As far as I'm aware, there is no evidence that Jane was a Peguis, specifically the daughter of chief Peguis. All available sources seem to indicate that while she was likely Cree, her exact community of origin is unknown, as is her parentage. I suggest we remove Peguis as her father, as it only serves to spread misinformation.
