Import GEDCOM problem

Hello,
I try to import GEDCOM file. Version 5.5.1.
In total 1042 persons.
I try yestarday few times, today too, but ever receive error: An unexpected error has occurred.
It's arrive to around 60% of green line
I use this GEDCOM file in different other program like FTA Analizer and other without problem..
Any idea what to do?

You could try splitting your GEDCOM in a separate one for each branch.
That way you may be can narrow down the problem.

I divide in two part, grandfather and grandmother side. Now grandfather side have 895 person and still receive error

I try now just little part of 95 person and again error. Test all GED file with Gedcom validator and FT Analyzer and no error

Maybe try with another program to see if there is one that will indicate a problem.
You could try MyHeritage Family Treebuilder or GenealogicaGrafica
Otherwise you could try to limit it to so small a size that you could paste it in a message here, so we could take a look at it.

Great, GenealogicaGrafica indicated this error:

R1: Your gedcom is corrupt around line nr 1 (at or before character position 3.)
Reading "0 HEAD".
Can not process the LEVEL indicator.

That looks like an indicator for the encoding for UTF.
You could try to open the file in notepad to see if you see the "0 and remove it

Problem with this encoding resolved. Simple copy paste GED file in new one in notepad.
GenealogicaGrafica indicated just error "children born within 9 months", but all info is correct.
But still can't import in GENI

If you post a (very) small GEDCOM here with the problem, I can test and see if I can find the problem.

For which Geni profile are you trying to do the import?

For my profile on GENI

Okay, I'll try that and see if I can reproduce the problem.

Sorry, cannot import a GEDCOM for a private profile outside my family group.
I'm going to create Augustin Kramaršič and try to import for him.

Can I reverse that import? (there is an existing profile for him, so merging the existing profiles is possible, but for testing I created a duplicate so it would be easier to test and delete when no longer necessary)

I'm going the raise a ticket for it and hope Geni support will find a solution.

I've reversed the import and make a ticket for the problem.
It is hard to say when Geni will respond, sometimes it is within a week, but sometimes it can take very much longer.

Possible that I as Geni basic user can't import GEDCOM file?

Yes you should be able to import a GEDCOM file as a basic user.
The difficulty for a basic user is that it can be hard to find a potential duplicate that Geni indicates (as a basic user you can only find profiles you and your collaborators manage using the Geni search screen, for other profiles you will hit the pay-wall and you will have to use an external search engine which can only find public profiles)

Little update. Today I try few different browser and in the end also disable all net protection. Again error message for both GEDCOM file, with all person and also for just 15 person

if you create a duplicate for Augustin Kramaršič and import for him does that work for you (like it did for me)?

Yes and not work. I create a New Branch but again the same problem. I believe problem in some way is my account and maybe not GEDCOM file

Could it be your browser (or browser add-on)?
Can you try another browser or a browser session without add-ons active (or privacy mode if you do not have add-ons active there)?

I try three browser Vivaldi, Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Also try with disabled ESET antivirus....
And all this at home and on work. To have different IP, provider...
