I just figured out that Gabriel and Jane, are ancestors of two branches in my tree. Daughter Ruth married Richard Taylor. Over time, the Taylors migrated to Rochester, MI. They are my 9th great grandparents. Daughter Catherine married Giles Hopkins, my 10th great grandparents that also later migrated to Washington, MI, The lines come together with my great grandparents. Ruth’s connects to my great grandfather’s line and Catherine to my great grandmother’s line. How cool would it have been to tell those sisters, in colonial Plymouth, that one day, their great, great …. Grandchildren would cross paths, marry, and continue the family line.
