Hi Hershy! Yes, it is the same person. My great great grandmother Rosa (Rozi) is the twin sister of Sarah Rozalia Ungar (born Singer). Are you also a descendant of Miksa Singer?

Yes. I am a decendent of Sara Singer/Ungar trough my fathers mother. and my wife is a decendent of her sister Chana Singer/Friedman. My uncles wife (my fathers brother Joel Fischer's wife) is also a decendent of him trough his son Aron Moshe singer. So we are connected with this Singer family in many ways.

I never heard that my great grand mother Sara was a twin are you sure about that? If so, then we need to merge this 2 profiles

Now i see some inconsistencies. On my great grand fathers (mordechai/Max whatever) grave stone it says that he was from Salgótarján while on your profile it says he was born in Pest. Also his mother (Leni/Leah whatever) her fathers name was Efryim (something like that) definetly not Simon, so im wondering if this is a secondary name or the legal name versus the jewish name, or maybe its not the same person? Also their childrens names are not quite the same. Can you please help me get some clearity?

What i see for sure is that november 17 1867 is the birthday for Rosa Singer, (Penina) and for Sarah Rozália Ungar and they were born in the same place. So i guass they are realy twin sisters. Very interesting.

An interesting add on that i would like to add. It seems to me that this family is indeed at leat conected. You have added Leni/Leah Gelbs Mother as Rosa Schwarcz, (Rachel) born 1848. Now my great Grand mother Sara was Born 1867.. which is when her mother was 19, so acording to you she had a twin (your great grand mother Rosa/Rozi) at her first birth.. ok. Now acording to you Leni/Leah was born to a mother Schwarcz who was born in 1813. I think i might have identified this exact schwarcz family. Mordechai/Max father was Yakov Yisucer Dov (Berl) Dov Singer My great grand mother Sara had a son in-law Karoly Herman Schwarcz who's father was named Bernat (Yissachar Dov) Schwarcz my great grand mother had also another son in-law R' Moshe (Mor) Adler who's father was also named Bernat (Issachar Dov) Adler his wife was Rozalia Rachel Leah Adler Something in me says that all these families Mentiond Singer/Adler/Shteiner/Schwartz are tracing back to same families given that they are sharing the same names and their family connection throughout the generations. I might be wrong but im just bringing upfood for thought. Im very curious if someone can help me out in this mystery.

I'm also wondering what Lani Gelb's father's name was, according to my info his Jewish name was Efraim and we still have this name in the family so I'm wondering why Paula Rapoport has him documented as Simon. I'm also wondering where he is buried and if there is still a gravestone.

Sali Haas.
Sigmund married Mari Kohn 22 years old whose father was Samuel Kohn . the marriage was 1864

I do not Know about the name Efraim, but I will look at the birth recordsThere was a big branch of the Gelb family who lived Sarospatak Hungary but they died in the holocaust. look the records in Yad Vashem. You coul try to ask the neolog jewih community in Budapest the may know who looks after the cemetery records in Gyongyos

Hi Private User again, i think that Efreim Gelb is not the Sigmund you mentiond And this Lani the wife of
Mordechai (Mordchei) (Max/Miksa) Singer was not his daughter. Something doesnt add up. Lani the wife of Mordechai (Mordchei) (Max/Miksa) Singer was born in 1848 and Sigmund Gelb And his Wife were born on 1839-1842 so they cant be her parents
