Thanks for the info. 1) The text you pasted is completely illegible via Google Translate so it will not be accessible to non-Hebrew readers. 2) Can you please identify who you mean by 'the grandson of the isbitza'; if this is the isbitza you mean, Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Leiner, Rebbe of Izhbitza-Radzin then who is the grandson who wrote in the book (he seems to have several grandsons), 3) what is the name of the book you are referring to, and 4) Friedman's Otser HaRabanim has HaNavi as # 5600 and gives his father as Binyamin Beinish of Pozna # 3786. Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry!! His grandson's is R' Gershon Chanoch Henich Leiner, 1st Admur of Radzyn in the preface of his father's book called בית יעקב on בראשית at the end he writes his lineage i wish i can post a copy of the piece but i don't know how to upload it

Thanks. I have reviewed the book you cited and from what I see there, Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Leiner, Rebbe of Izhbitza-Radzin was the direct descendant of R' Moshe Katzenellenbogen Wahl, ABD Chelm son of Meir son of Saul Wahl. The latter Moshe b. Meir was married to the sister of Zachariah HaNavi. I do not see that this book says Zachariah HaNavi was a descendant of Moshe b. Meir. I do see that Moshe b. Meir is the father of a different Zachariah: R' Zechariah Mendel Katzenellenbogen Perhaps that is where the confusion arises?

but he calls him Zachariah HaNavi that's my issue

Although I see that R' Gershon Leiner makes Zacharia ben Moshe ben Meir ben Saul into Zacharia HaNavi, I have not seen this supported by any other genealogical scholars. This is why I interpret the situation to be that R' Gershon confused the two Zacharias.

Many scholars have studied this line, Wunder, Friedman, Jacobi, etc. and I have not seen the R' Gershon interpretation anywhere else. That would mean that HaNavi is a Katzenellenbogen descendant.

Since the Moshe b. Meir b. Saul is a Katzenellenbogen line, this area is sure to be covered in the Unbroken Chain. You could try making a consultation with the Katzenellenbogen specialist Private User about this matter, or looking at the 3rd Edition of the work.

I'm also paging Kevin Lawrence Hanit who is the curator of R' Zechariah Mendel Katzenellenbogen and may be able to address your issue.

thank you!
