Hi.
I am more and more frequently recieving messages from people "Please update" on profiles. But when I look at the profiles - by clickning "look on the suggestion" - nothing needs to be updated. They are asking me to update info that is already in the profile!
One woman sent me 10 such messages. I contacted her asking why she sends me "Please update"-messages on profiles that already has the information she demanded to update. She then replied "Geni automatically sends a message to all profile aministrators when there are changes, I don't send a personal message".
But I and that woman do not share a single profile. So she blamed Geni for sending "Please update"-messages in her name to med - I have screen shoted her message to me. If she lied she is misusing and abusing Geni and needs to be told not to. I have her name of course. And after I contacted her about her - sorry Geni's update messages to me in her name according to herself - I have not recived one single "please update this profile"-message from her.
Now another man is doing the same; sending me "please update"-messages with "updates" that already in the profiles! When I click on "look at hte suggestions", the suggestion is on the same info that is already in the profile - I have screen shotted his asked changes with the info that is already in the profile, and they are exactly the same! I am getting tired of those messages, it takes time from me and the messages with demanded changes make no sense, because the profile info is already in place.
So my questions are:
* Is Geni sending "please update"-messages about updating profile in other peoples name?
* Is Geni sending "please update"-messages on updating profiles in others peoples' name even if the person sending the message do not share the profile(s) asking to be update?
* How are such "please update"-messages generated?
* How come people are asking for updates on information that is already in the profiles? Are they - at their end - 'seeing' something different than I do when I get those messages, check the profiles and everything is in order and there is nothing to update at all?
* Can I delete those "please updates"-messages without taking any action regarding the 'update' demands from other Geni users?
I do hope and want an answer.
