Hi, I'm the great granddaughter of Emelie Malia Viktoria Ulriksdotter, aka Amelia Josephson aka Amelia Lundberg.
I have Frans ship arrival and Ellis Island entry card, says he is going to his sister, Emelia Adolfson (haven't found her with any connection to this surname, still looking) in Rutland, Illinois. I find no information of him in that town or even in Illinois.
I know some about Emelie from about 1912 through her death. But would love to know more, something my grandmother wanted all of her life, as Amelia gave her up for adoption at 6 weeks of age. Amelia remarried had 3 more daughters, making a total of 5 and shortly after the birth of her last daughter was admitted into a mental hospital in Lincoln, NE where she died in 1943. Listing her medical /psychiatric condition as manic depression. I have some doubt on that diagnosis, but if you want explanation just let me know.
I promised my grandmother and my mother (both gone now for more that 40 and 20 years respectively) that I would do my best to find grandma's family.
I can track the other children somewhat, but Frans has me lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
