Use of "Northern Ireland" and other terms

I notice that the overview for this project refers to County Monaghan as being in "Northern Ireland."

County Monaghan is located in the northern part of the island of Ireland, but it is not one of the six counties on the island that make up what is today known as Northern Ireland -- an entity that did not exist in the 1700s.

I would urge you to consider switching to using "Ulster" instead of "Northern Ireland," since 1) County Monaghan is one of the nine counties that is part of that province, and 2) noting people as being from Ulster (any county) is genuinely important in genealogy.

For that same reason, it's a good idea to put "Ulster" in the state/province field on profiles and "County Monaghan" in the county field. (It's also good to specify "County Monaghan" when referring to the county, since "Monaghan" alone can refer specifically to the county town.)
