He spent his childhood in Junction City, Wisconsin. At the age of 17, he joined the
Navy and spent three years on the Columbus, and an additional year in Korea. After
returning from the service, he married Dorothy Johnson in 1951.

Their home was in Junction City where Lloyd farmed and was a local truck driver for
Lutz Oil Company, and then Neuendorf Trucking. They had five children.

Dorothy preceded him in death in 1972. Lloyd and Jeanette (Tiny) Reber met and on
January 14, 1973, Lloyd's five boys and Tiny's four children took a trip to the
Little Brown Church in the Vale in Iowa, where they were married. Life was never
quite the same with nine children ranging in age from nine-nineteen (six teenagers).

In 1983, Lloyd and Jeanette moved to Roseburg, to a milder climate. They managed a
mobile home park for a few years and Lloyd worked for Ferrellgas and as a courier
for Umpqua Bank. He officially retired when he left the bank in 2003.

Lloyd loved the Northwest - the weather, the country - there was nothing better than
sitting outside with an occasional cigar. He and Jeanette especially liked traveling
in their RV. Trips to Seattle, Washington, the Coast, Wisconsin, California and. . .
Lloyd enjoyed visiting with family and just seeing the sights. He was fascinated
with the military, including old war movies, books, military planes, and ships. He
made occasional trips to the casino with Jeanette, and enjoyed them even more when
he won more than she did. They worked together on Jeanette's baking business, and
the highlight of the year was the Christmas Fair, where they had a booth for 23
years.

Lloyd is survived by his siblings, Isabel Ostrowski from Plover; Pete Seavers and
his wife, Marcy, from Wausau, Wisconsin; Nancy Harris from Junction City, and John
Seavers and his wife, Gail from Hawaii. He was a loving grandfather of 27 and
great-grandfather of 23. His children live in Wisconsin, Oregon, and Washington.
They include, Sandy Hunt and her husband, Terry; Rodney Seavers and his wife, Merry;
Glenn Shirek and his wife, Louise; Randy Seavers and his wife, Sue; Ramsey Seavers
and his wife, Mary; Debbie Goodness and her husband, Chuck; Daniel Seavers and his
wife, Denise; Jeff Becker and Clayton Seavers and his wife, Stephanie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Taylor's Family
Chapel in Winston, Oregon. Officiating will be Deacon John Stenbeck with military
rites by the VFW District Twelve Honor Guard. Interment will be at the Restlawn
Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
