That her son's birth date is only ten years after her own, plus or minus, indicates problems with the tree here. LVIA/1108/1/11 says Mendel was 40, Elka 30 when Tauba was born in 1857, but it also says the same ages for when Shejna Leja was born in 1854! At any rate, the fact a grandson is named Elkan and a great-granddaughter has the Hebrew name Elka suggests she really is the ancestor of them. Possibly both Mendel and Elka were born earlier than LVIA/728/1/1004 indicates (which says he died 1892 aged 72); this would address also the large age gap between Mendel (and his siblings) and his mother.
