Aloha to everyone! Thank you for adding me!

I am so sad, the Portuguese Templar monument in downtown Honolulu is trashed. The tile work is missing chunks. It's like no one running the state of Hawaii cares... It looks similar to a few other other Portuguese monuments around the world, but there's some old latin looking letters and I can't get a good photo with my cell phone because it's too high up. There's zero images on google...

I also found the link below interesting that the 1985 monument was erected to commemorate the 16K+ Portuguese settlers, and that the Ukulele was brought to the islands by those settlers from Madeira and Azores. The link also has a list of famous Hawaiians of Portuguese descent. You might be able to lobby those alive to restore the monument.
