..is she the same Gemma di Capua ? (here now sister) Gemma di Capua

but so with 2 different husbands? [mathematically not impossible scenario]

oh NS you found my notes :)

mathematically (chronologically) not impossible because if it were:

(940-...) principessa Gemma di Capua wife of Gifuls I, prince of Salerno (930-977)
*no registered children

(...- after 1006) Gemma di Capua wife in {ML square brackets given very very indicative about} [953/64] {so it could also be 977?} of conte Cadolo (...-982) widowed in 952
* only one son

_____________
all this to try to justify the 2 stepsisters that I had found in the node..
..now reshuffled again by a new PRO and they have even become sisters ^^'

ah.. also testing that the dates are biologically compatible:
the first Gemma is a widow at 37 years old.. not 10 children, but one fits.

We have not made progress on this!

she could stay there,
with JPG and text warning.
(there's time:)

OK. But should we be detaching Sigelgaita di Benevento from parents?

Medlands doesn’t have parents for her.

I know, neither ML nor wiki..
..you know it's a old connection of the usually here considered reliable Leo:

I had forgotten about that. Leo’s usually good about citations. He referenced Landolfo II:

Turton, Lt.Col. W. H., The Plantagenet Ancestry, Baltimore, 1975 .229

1993 edition https://archive.org/details/plantagenetances0000turt (ID needed to borrow)

Here’s Sigelgaita on a fan chart:
