My descendant mitochondrial DNA is haplogroup K1A1B1A which is the most common group for Ashkenazi Jews.

In this case, however, my mitochondrial DNA was identified to belong to a subclade called K1A1B1A9 (with G1709A). So far only two other samples match K1A1B1A9 : identified as "JQ703069" and "JQ703485 " in a 2012 paper by Behar et. al

From other sources, I found these correlating samples as K1A1B1A9 - one from Berlin and one from Dlouhá Ves, Czech Republic :

Subgroup: K1a1b1a9 (with G1709A) https://www.yfull.com/mtree/K1a1b1a9/
Name: Not Disclosed Kit Number: 104763 Earliest Known Ancestor: N/A
Marker Location: N/A Lat, Lng: (52.3, 13.38) near Berlin, Germany

Subgroup: K1a1b1a9 (with G1709A) https://www.yfull.com/mtree/K1a1b1a9/
Name: Not Disclosed Kit Number: 95663 Earliest Known Ancestor: N/A
Marker Location: Dlouhá Ves, Czech Republic Lat, Lng: (49.57626, 15.6756716)

The estimated TMRCA (Time of Most Recent Common Ancestor) for the 3 samples is given as 350 YBP (Years Before Present) with a 95% confidence interval of between 75YBP and 1700YBP ... 3 samples is not enough to be accurate and that's why the range is so large).

I just learned today that my K1a1b1a has been narrowed by FamilyTreeDNA to K1a1b1a9. My kit number there is 110739, GEDMatch A076885, User Profile #492822, GEDcom Tree #2675145. My earliest known ancestor on this female line is Fredericka Lauterbach (1803-1868) in Burgkunstadt, Bavaria. <https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Lauterbach-82>.

Though I have been successful in finding many of my own ancestors, I have not found any siblings of Fredericka who survived to have children, though she had a half-sister through their father. Because our shared mtDNA is so abundant among Ashkenazi Jews, it is probably going to need new paper trails rather than DNA matches. You can reach me through Wikitree without a pay wall.
