Freese family history and history of related families / by Fannie Freese. (https://archive.org/details/freesefamilyhist00free/page/n11/mode/2up) has a Jacob Freese born in Sheffield, Mass. on Nov. 10, 1698. This book has Jacob marrying Rebecca Van Loon on Nov. 14, 1740.
In looking over the records, it is now likely that Jacob, son of George & Mary, married Elizabeth Adams.
From the marriage date for Rebecca Van Loon, I believe she married a different Jacob Freese than the Jacob born in 1698. Perhaps the last name was spelled Friis. (Athens, NY, to Sheffield, Mass., is quite logical for that time period.)
Any help in determining which Jacob Freese (Friis or Freeze) married Rebecca Van Loon would be appreciated.
