I have shown proof that he was married to Elizabeth Powers of Columbus County, North Carolina.
She was the "heiress of John Powers" who died before 1834.
"[the property] descended by inheritance to Elizabeth Powers, now the said Elizabeth King."
So either she was the daughter of John Powers, or she was the widow of John Powers and Harmon King's second wife.
