What is the evidence that John Fortescue was born in 1720 in Ireland?

The first source has him marrying in England in 1740

What is the evidence that he is the son of Thomas Fortescue, MP, of Ranaldstown and Elizabeth Hamilton

They married in November 1721 - 21 months after he was born
William Henry Fortescue, 1st Earl of Clermont born 1722 is listed as their eldest son in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Fortescue,_1st_Earl_of_Clermont

I don't believe "our" John Fortescue was born in Ireland and not sure what year. This information is on all trees on the internet and we would love some proof of his birth and death. Everything points to Exeter and not to Ireland but no records to be found. I can only come up with two marriages for "our" John Fortescue, Susannah Bare 29 July,1740 & Margaret Elliot 20 April, 1755 (a year after Susannah died). Thank you for your assistance.
