I am hoping someone can help with what to do with King Sancho III. He is listed as the son of Sancha AND the brother of Sancha.

Would appreciate if someone could review this entire profile please given the additional possible confusion of having two Queen Sancha's by King Alfonso VII by two different wives.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Best regards,
John Love

@Sharon

Thanks for looking :) I follow because it shows as a Grandparent relationship and it notified me. I never investigated until tonight... All the adult siblings are Grandparents,so a Pedigree Collapse, minus two of them. It happened through my Dad's side and Grandfather on my Mom's. Same with his half sister being Grandparents on two sides of my tree. The more I look, the more complicated it gets. I stop using the push pin because...
Yikes! Lol

Annber Lynn Collins, I think that whole line explains my 2.9% Iberian DNA. LOL

Good morning Sharon,

First I must apologise for the question about the two Queen Sancha's. When I added them to my tree I must have had a brain fart by not showing them as two distinct individuals. Yes it was crazy trying to clean up this mess in my tree. Note to myself, look at the information a bit closer to ensure you have the correct people placed with the correct parents. I'm sorry to take up your time on a request that should never have been asked.

I also wanted to maybe ask my other question in a cleared manner. The information shows King Sancho III (1134-1158) as the son of King Alfonso VII (1105-1157) and Queen Berenguela (1116-1149) and the son of King Sancho VI (1132-1194) and Queen Sancha (1139-1177).

Would you be able to take another quick look at King Sancho III please.

Thanks again for all of the hard work you do for Geni and me. You and the other moderators do not get the thanks you need for the time and effort you make on behalf of the users and Geni.

Best regards,
John Love

It depends on the test what percentage I get. I wanted to see what populations I matched, so I could figure out my modern Ancestry. I think DNA CONSULTANT is the best. It matches my full genome data exactly for the most part. I hate that it doesn't give percentages or list it in order from most to least. I'm wanting to upgrade the Native American one,to expand on my Native American side. Not that you probably haven't read or know about Iberian DNA,but linking an explanation of it for others with these lines, because sometimes it shows up differently on DNA test.

John, thanks for the appreciation. It was my pleasure. The profiles needed a Curator to maintain them anyway, as Victar hasn't been on Geni for years and years now.

This is what I'm seeing for Sancho III

Sancho 'el Deseado' de Castilla, III MP
Birth: 1134
Death: 31 August 1158 (23-24)
Toledo, Toledo, Castille La Mancha, Spain
Place of Burial: Cathedral Santa María, Toledo, Castille La Mancha, Spain
Immediate Family:
Son of Alfonso VII the Emperor, King of Castile and Leon and Berenguela de Barcelona, reina consorte de León y Castilla

I don't see the additional " son of King Sancho VI (1132-1194) and Queen Sancha (1139-1177)" that you're suggesting.

Urracas and Sanchas/Sanchos galore in that period make things quite confusing.
