Jesse Smith has two sets of parents and no paper trail to either. More research is needed.

One set listed:

William Smith and Hannah Smith

Another set listed:

George Smith, Jr. and Susanna Smith

I have found George and Susannah in Horry County/Georgetown District, but still need more info to make a connection to Jesse . No info so far on William and Hannah, but searching.

Family Search lists George Smith Jr. and Susanna Smith (Long) as the parents with some reasonable explanations/sources. https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LTW6-NKW

I am venturing a guess, but will look it up that Longs, SC is named for Susanna's family. What used to be a crossroads is one golf course after another on the way to North Myrtle Beach now.

Find a Grave has this for George Smith, Jr.

Nothing for wife Susanna Long Smith and this for George's parents

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/64863367/george_smith and this https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/64863758/elizabeth_smith. Parents of Elizabeth Allen Smith have FAG profiles, but honestly, all of these are minimal and seem to be no burial details or sources.

Have been working on Hannah Smith's lines that go back to the Green family. Ran into some messes. Sent some collaboration requests A nest of Revolutionary Patriots that need sorting. That is for another discussion.

No progress on the parents of Jesse Smith. Could be either set at this point, but I am more inclined to George and Susanna as the geography makes sense. William and Hannah were a bit more to the south.
