We made DNA on My Heritage but do not know how transfer it to Geni.

By the way. Last granddaughter of Leib, my aunt Lubov Shekhtman will turn 98 at June 21. She lives in Tel-Aviv in nursing home.

Did you get your results at MyHeritage after March 1, 2019? If so, your DNA on MyHeritage can be used to get results at FTDNA. Totally free to "transfer" and to see all your matches. First download your raw data from MyHeritage, then see https://www.familytreedna.com/autosomal-transfer

DNA can then be linked from FTDNA to Geni. That is the only DNA site from which results can be linked to Geni

Can you get your aunt Lubov Shekhtman to do a DNA Test from FTDNA?

Five of us, including myself, who are great grandchildren of Genokh Lubetkin all have results there
Plus two or more that are descendants of Solomon Aaron (Saul) Lubetkin and two or more that are descendants of Max "Lubtken" Lubetkin
So all of these are descendants of Orel Lubetkin. . Also two that are probably descendants of Orel's son Yudel have DNA results there.
For all of these - last name is Lubetkin and/or Lubetkin is one of their Ancestral Surnames.
So easy to find any of those that are among someone's matches.

But so far, searching on name and/or Ancestral Surname Lubetkin at FTDNA from any of the Kits in my Family Finder Project has failed to pull up any descendants of Leib.

I will try make what you say. But i have another question. If you going make DNA on Geni it send you get it from My Heritage. Nonsenses .
I made my tests on My heritage like 2-3 month ago. It was much chipper than on Geni. Just $36 per person.
I can not bring aunt Luba make test. She is very old, living i the nurse home and her memories not 100% . So it impossible.

Geni programmed to link to FTDNA before MyHeritage had programmed to let folks upload to MyHeritage. And I think before MyHeritage was offering DNA Tests.
Geni is owned by MyHeritage.
So MyHeritage DNA Tests are the ones Geni is now allowed to sell.
Even tho they cannot use them.

FTDNA uses a cheek swab, and ships all over.
So if someone is willing to help, and Aunt Luba can open her mouth to let them rub the inside of her cheek, then it can be done.
But if she has said no, then probably they should not.

My aunt Lyubov Shekhtman the daughter of Aron Lyubetkin passed away at 10/10/2024 at age 98 in the Jaffa, Israel. Zihrona le Braha. Bless her memory.
