that's very iffy, but it looks like it was william hannah and possibly margaret hinton or hardin. they also appear to be related to the hannahs of washington co., tn, and lancaster co., pa.

Thank you, Rodney Lee Bowers

some. i know about when he and his children first arrived in greene co. it also looks like they may have been in the same region of nc and sc when the children were born, though several say they were from mecklenburg co., nc, and a couple from york co., sc. there is also a record of his inheritance from his mother. i suspect his father had a brother in the region, and it appears they were likely from lancaster co., pa. i think william II had a brother or cousin living in eastern tennessee at the same time.

oh, yeah, william II sold land in greene co. in 1818 and his son, my ancestor andrew, sold property the following year. this makes me believe william died around that time, prompting my ancestor to move to indiana. the remaining children apparently stayed in tennessee and eventually some made their way to arkansas and texas. my family stayed a few years in indiana and then went to kansas only to return. they then made it to arkansas on their way to texas. many others stayed in indiana or went to illinois. i've always wondered if the illinois bunch wasn't daryl hannah's ancestors.
