Chawa Leja Gitel (Glaz) Slominski - Documentation??

Sara Musia Zarkhin Sara Musia Zarkhin left testimonies in Yad Vashem after two cousins:

Leizer Fin Leizer Fin
and Icchak/Itsik Glaz Itsik Leizer Glaz

based on the testimonies she left after her siblings, we can determine her parents were Israel and Chawa Leja Gitel.

Based on the 1933 marriage record of Chaim Slonimski and Feige Shif, we can tell that Leja Gitel's maiden name was Glaz. (The index says Leja, but the Yiddish text in the original records says Leja Gitel).

This is how I concluded that Leizer Fin and Itsik Glaz are Sara Zarchin's cousins through her maternal grandparents.

Sara Zarchin's husband's biography says that the couple met in Tashkent and that Sara was born in Moskow.
Can't tell if she was really born in Moskow as it appears that he siblings were born in Užpaliai.

and

Are you assuming Chaim is another sibling of Sara Zarkhin? Or??

I see Sara Zarkhin is cousin to Leizer Fin and Icchak/Itsik Glaz
And those two are both grandchildren of Israel Glaz and Vikhna (Zarch) Glaz

So one possibility is, Sara Zarkhin is another grandchild of that couple, making her first cousin to each.
Another is, Sara Zarkhin is a grandchild of a sibling of Israel Glaz, making her a second cousin to each.
Or maybe - are Zarch and Zarkhin variations of same name? - if her husband is grandchild of a sibling of Vikhna (Zarch) Glaz -- then her husband is second cousin to each, and she might refer to herself as cousin to them
Or lots of other possibilities.

Lois, I trust that Sara Zarchin was a 1st cousin of Itsik and Lejzer, not a second cousin.
If you follow the scarcity of testimonies she left after her, you realize that it was a closer family relationship than 2nd cousins.

You are correct that we are missing a clear cut evidence.
This is why I gave information about her whereabouts, hoping that someone can help find more evidence.

I'll disconnect the trees if this aggravates you.
