From all my research, this John Whinnery was born John Whinery in 1762 to Patrick Whinery and Sarah Noblit at York, PA. Over time, he had name changes that included John Whinnery, John Whenery, John Hinery, and finally John Henry. He died in 1834 at Wayne County, Tennessee. This GENI site shows Mary Moon as his ex-wife. She was born Mary Bartley to William John Bartley and Eleanor Bartley in 1759 at Guilford County, NC. I have taken a Big Y 700 DNA test to confirm the Whinnery to Henry name conversion.
