The ABOUT section of Lavinia's profile states (contrary to the information in the profile):
Lavinia was not the daughter of Peter Stephens and Anna Maria Chrisman.
1) The surviving children of Peter and Anna Maria (Mary) Chrisman Stephens are all named in the settlement of the estate of Mary's father, Jacob Chrisman, who died in Frederick County, Virginia in 1778. The estate was not finally settled until 1795, by which time Mary was deceased and so her children were heirs. Frederick County, Virginia Will Book "7" pp. 220-224. Lavinia Winter is not listed among them.
2) her parents listed on her tombstone first names started with a "J." and and "R."
I've been suffering with her family ever since I saw the image of the gravestone for William Winter and his wife Lavinia on Findagrave. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/61977976/lavinia-winters
Contrary to the information in the Findagrave profile, it shows a shared headstone with a date of birth Feb 9, 1767, death Feb 2, 1856 for William Winters. Different, as the profile states 1759-1847. It gives his parents as M.& E. Winters, which seems correct.
The FindAGrave headstone shows his wife was LA ---- with the remainder of the name broken off. Her date of birth was Nov 11, 1770. Different, as the profile states May 30, 1760. On the gravestone, the initials for her parents are J.&R. Stevens, not P & A Stephens
Failing miserably to link Lavinia to Peter and Anna Maria, on a whim I tried asking BING's AI for information. I asked, "The parents of Lavina Stevens born Nov 11, 1770, were J. & R. Stevens. Tell me more about the parents"
I GOT THE FOLLOWING

Certainly! Let’s delve into the lineage of Lavina Stevens, born on November 11, 1770, in Orange, Virginia. Her parents were James Laurence Stevens and
Rebecca Lawrence1. Here’s a brief overview of their lives:
1. James Laurence Stevens (1746–1822):
James was born in 1746 in Orange, Virginia.
He married Rebecca Lawrence.
Together, they had several children, including Lavina.
James lived through significant historical events, including the American Revolution.
He passed away in 1822.
2. Rebecca Lawrence (1750–1820):
Rebecca was born in 1750.
She married James Laurence Stevens.
Lavina was one of their children.
Is there agreement, that the gravestone shown on Findagrave is the gravestone for Lavinia and her husband William Winters?
Since Lavinia is not mentioned in her grandfather's estate, and if the gravestone is Lavinia's, Peter and Anna Maria are not her parents.
If Peter and Anna Maria are not her parents, would James Stevens and Rebecca Lawrence be her correct parents? There is a Geni profile for a Lavina Stevens dau of James and Rebecca Lavinia Winters
