Seen several lineages relating to Sigehelm on https://gw.geneanet.org, https://www.familysearch.org (Latter Day Saints), https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/M13P-LCJ/sigehelm-"ethel..., and https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LLQR-VYG

I can't vouch for the authenticity of these lineages, but they trace Sigehelm's lineage through kings of Kent and Essex starting with Seaxneat Teddasson b358. Sledda of Essex married Ricula and her lineage goes back to Hengist, Hengis's father is given as Wihtgils, and his lineage extends back thirteen generations, no doubt all mythological.

It's an LDS web-site.

It gives the parents of Sigehelm, Alderman of Kent as the son of Sigeraed, Prince of Kent, married to Wulfrida of the West Saxons.

Sigeraed, Prince of Kent is given as the son of Sigeric II, King of Essex.

Sigeric II, King of Essex is found on Geni and his lineage goes back to Seaxneat.

Sigeric II, son of Sigaraed, King of Kent, son of Seaxabald King of Essex, son of Sledda, King of Essex, mariied to Ricula.

Sledda, King of Essex was the son of Aescwine, son of Offa, son of Bedca, son of Sigefugel, son of Swaeppa, son of Antsecg, son of Gesecg, son of Seaxneat.

Ricula, wife of Sledda, King of Essex, was the daughter of Eomenric, King of Kent, son of Ochta, King of Kent, son of Aesc, King of Kent, son of Hengist, King of Kent, son of Wihtgils and brother of Horsa, Wihtgils is the son of Witta, son of Vegdagr, ostensibly the son of Odin.

Is the Family Search lineage connecting Sigehelm, Alderman of Kent with Sigeraed, Prince of Kent, and Sigeric II, King of Essex a genuine one, and should it be included in the geni web-site?

Your Family Search link is not useful, because, although it cites sources, almost all of the sources are other family web trees, and the only sources that cite primary sources do not give any parentage for Sigelhelm. Because no primary sources give that information. The primary source for the information that we have on Sigelhelm -- that being that he was the father of Eadgifu and that he died in battle -- is William of Malmesbury's Regesta Regum Anglorum. Anything else is speculation or wishful thinking.

Here is the family on Medlands -- https://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLAND,%20AngloSaxon%20nobility.htm

Found a reference here:

Don't know if it has any validity.

https://www.thepeerage.com/p401.htm#c4009.1

However, I take your point that most references don't cite any ancestors for Sigehelm, and I would not include any without solid provenance. Speculation and wishful thinking sums it up very nicely

It's citing the Foundations of Medieval Genealogy, to a paper on the lineages of Anglo-Saxon royalty, and it has more weight than the family trees, certainly, BUT it cites no evidence for the connection.
