Last updated 22 Apr 2023, Wikitree's profile runs askew with the quote below, which is why I won't put it in Overview:
"Sir Geoffrey de Dutton, als de Buddeworth, kt, son of Sir Geoffrey de Dutton and his wife ALICE de Lacy, succeeded to the estate about 1248 and was living in 1275. He married twice, secondly to ISABELLA, BUT his children Peter, Thomas and Margaret were from his marriage to an UNNAMED FIRST WIFE." – https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dutton-982
Though Wikitree cites an Ormerod pedigree, it does NOT show a third marriage NOR a marriage to Alice de Lacy: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=coo.31924088434034&view=... . Moreover, the quote above falsely claims authority in Ormerod pedigree for Geoffrey having married Alice de Lacy.
Either Alice was proven to be Geoffrey's 1st wife after Ormerod's book was published, or we have no idea why Ormerod's pedigree is the way it appears.
