I believe that my 2nd great-grandfather Dimitri Vasilievich Borcovsky is his son. Dimitri was born in Saratov Oblast in 1881, worked in Siberia as a gold miner in the early 1900s before moving to Harbin, China where he met his wife around 1907. Later he fled from Russia with his wife and children to Australia in 1913 to avoid persecution from the government due to him being an outspoken communist. He along with his wife and kids changed their surname to Borcovsky. He separated from his wife and he along with 3 of his sons moved to New Zealand in 1926 where he ultimately passed away in 1959.
