I have a great aunt Iona. Her maiden name was Walker. She has a sister.My other aunt that I knew is Winona her married name is Bryant. They were from a family of 12. My Grandma was Doris Walker who married a Poulin. If this is who you are referring to then we are cousins. I would have to check to see but it sounds like you may be talking about this person. Do you have any dates specifically?

The 1950 U.S. Census shows that Yvonne Williams was the daughter of Iona M. Williams. Iona Mae Goode married John E. Williams on 4 Nov 1942 in California; they divorced on 20 Oct 1983 in Florida. Texas birth reocords show that Iona Mae Goode was born on 26 Sep 1923 in Electra, Wichita, Texas. Her father was George Washington Goode. Her mother is listed as Helen Jane Murphey. George Washington Goode was born 13 Jan 1899 in Childress, Texas. The 1910 U.S. census gives G.W. Goode's mother's name as Bell. Louis Lome I found all of that in the Ancestry hints once I created a profile for her and then built back. Existing tree duplicates started appearing in the 3rd to 5th generations to merge into the main tree.

What Ancestry also shows are marriage docs for Iona Good of Texas matching the birth year, but marriages to

John E. Williams in California on 4 Nov 1942
William L. Rudolph in Los Angeles, CA on 8 Apr 1955
Sherman Roberts in Rusk, Texas on 30 Aug 1969
but THEN a divorce from John on 20 Oct 1983 in Florida.

Maybe in his later years they couldn't find a divorce and he had to do it in Florida? or maybe it was an affidavit? She marked divorced in the 1950 Census living in Long Beach.

I don't know exactly how Sherman Roberts fits in, since he appears to have always lived, married, and died in Texas.

Wow all of you seem very educated in how to research family trees. I just started when I had initially posted my question, and then forgot about it until obviously months and months and months later right now and I am just now seeing all these responses that I didn't even know happened and I'm not even sure are to me or why I'm seeing them or how to navigate this website as I cannot even review the tree path that I took at that time or why I was even asking this question to anyone. I appreciate everybody's response and I would love if someone would touch base with me offering me a little guidance on how all of this process works so that I can know whether or not I was on the right track or need to head in a different direction. Virginia Lynn Oates Looking for information on my mother's birth father, Frank Edward Bokelmann, he was married to Martha Laura Rockwell. They had seven children and my mothers was born in Colorado. He was born in Germany in 1885 and passed away in June, 1927. I don't know where he died and from what he died from. Looking for that information if anyone could help me location of that information. Laura passed away also in June, 1927 in Colorado. It said that he was buried in Weeping Water, Ne but when I called they told me that he is not there. If anyone could help me please let me know and thank you.
