"TUENA OBITUARY:- We regret to chronicle the death, by a most distressing accident of Mr. Jaggers, son-in-law of Mr. Hearne, of Salisbury. I am informed that the deceased was driving his team, laden with slabs, which unhappily struck against a stump, turning over on Mr. Jaggers. No help being near, the deceased's wife, who perchance happened to be with him ran off to the nearest place, a quarter of a mile, where the assistance only a young female could be obtained, and who with great presence of mind on arriving at the spot, immediately cut a sapling and prized the dray up sufficiently to extricate the body, not before, we are pained to state, life was extinct."
