There is a confusion with Ivan Sukhozanet's birth date (1788). Ivan Sukhozanet was the oldest son of Onufrius (Onufriy) Sukhozanet and was born on July 4, 1785. His brother Piotr Sukhozanet was born later in 1788. Some sources give a wrong birth date 1788 for Ivan but clearly both brothers could not be born just few months apart.
There is a photo at 'media' section with a document from archive #7073 where approximate date of birth is (1786). New York public library has a book named ‘Russian portraits of the 18th and 19th centuries: Edition of Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich of Russia’, printed in 1905-1909 as a catalogue with Ivan Sukhozanet portrait # 98 with birth date 1785 which believed to be a correct date (https://digitalcollections.nypl.org/items/510d47df-9945-a3d9-e040-e...) and ( http://medalirus.ru/georgievskie-kavalery/suhozanet-ivan-onufrievic...). The source of confusion might happen after a long period of time when Ivan Sukhozanet's grave was considered lost. Russian Mikchailovskaya Military Artillery Academy initiated Ivan's grave search, claimed that found it and restored his grave at Alexander Nevsky Lavra with a new grave stone. As seeing on photo of restored grave – the new grave stone is not the original and surprisingly simple for his status. Probably at that time Ivan’s brother Piotr year of birth (1788) was taken as Ivan's year of birth for the grave stone by mistake (they both were artillerists).
