Far as I can tell, you can still only do it by making another tree... http://help.geni.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&... Very annoying!
Of course that'd add heaps of extra duplicate people. Are you able to extract subsets of your tree from your home program? That way you could start a tree on from your g-grandfather's cousin's aunt (or whoever) and just add a missing chunk.
Cheers, Kath.
HI Kathleen,
I thought as much, was trying to avoid all the merges,
I have so many additions to several parts of the tree that it appears I will have to just upload a new one far to many names to add individually , it has taken me nearly 12 months to even get it on my family tree program.
It is a pain I just hope you will all bear with me when you get the requests to merge some of the names, that is what I was trying to avoid being a pain to the rest of you
Thanks
Marie
HI Kerin,
Not worrying me at all, and get ready for the onslaught when I finally pluck up the courage to update my tree, seems as I understand it I have to rejoin again under a different email and take a pro account, once Ihave loaded the GED file I request Geni to merge it with my orginal one, then once that is done they delete the new account, oh lordy I am hope that i how it works, but there will be heaps of requests to others to merge I am sure.
Regards
marie
