Matz, Bertram, 93, of Highland Beach, FL, formerly of Newton, MA passed on October 16, 2005.
The most beloved husband of Miriam, to whom he was married 62 years; devoted father of Joan Matz Young and her husband David Young of Marlborough, MA and Louise Matz Barron and her husband, Jack Barron of Southboro, MA.; loving grandfather of Zackary David Matz Barron of Farmington Hills, MI and Alexa Barron of Manhattan Beach, CA. A decorated WWII veteran who served in North Africa, Italy and Southern France. Mr. Matz was an internationally recognized custom leather tanner and was president of the renowned N. H. Matz Leather Co. of Peabody, MA for over 50 years.
