is there any one, that have colaborating with : Henry Alva Husted ?
Henry Alva Husted
become manager of some of his profiles yesterday.
and as it seems,he had atlest 3 difrent trees or profiles here.
so a lot of duplicates.
he have stil one more profile, that is runing.
with a lot of duplicates.
but he has not been online for over 1 year on that one.
so hope some one out there, can help merge all those issues there is.
here is one of these issues.
i have all ready merged 2 duplicates here :-(
sorry, I cannot help you with this. But after being logged in Geni for two years now, I know that all profile adders and managers don't want to be involved any more.
I have got similar problems and they make me sometimes very irritated, because no one answers my merge requests. One profile can have 8-12 managers, and all of them don't want to collaborate any more.
If you have only two merge requests, be happy for it, because I have 16 merges requests pending. I have heard about people who have over 100 merge requests pending.
My opinion is that Geni has grown too big, the creators can't handle this any more. The system might collapse as time goes. Do not make your genealogy research only in Geni, you must work with it in your own computer, otherwise you may lose everything if or when Geni collapses.

i usualy download a gedcom from geni every week, just to be sure to have some of the progress.
thats the only way keep it when the crash will come.
on this part of the tree mentiond,i have about 25 merge issues now,and about 20 parent conflict issues.
have had about 200 merge issues there, just today.
and more will come, after i have started to get it open.
and if some one wil be abel to help me with those Henry Alva Husted issues.
there will be a lotttt.
Why not sent ol' henry an email?
Department of sighs.....
sometimes I'd like Geni to provide me with a "find the path" function, not based on family relationships, but based on collaboration relationships.
If I could ask Geni "who's the person in my collaborators who's closer in the collaboration chain to the profile I'm looking at than me", I think queries like this could be more easily answered.
And if there is no path, I know that I can give up looking for one :-)
another thing here, that is in the department of sighs.
is that some members, only colaborate with people they can "earn" somthing on or of.
just when they feel it helps them in there own search.
got a few members here, that i got some merge issues with.
and they have declined mye request, and told me straigth out that they do not get any thing of that colaborate.
and a day or two after, they have axeptet colaborating with other people on the same part of the tree.
some people, alsoaxept a colaborate just to make 1 merge.
then unaxept the colaborate again.
so a couple of geni users that gives me issues like that,is soon to be on my block list.
there is a little chance that Henry Alva Husted has passed away. It is a problem in Geni, too, that if someone passes away, no one can close their accounts if his password is unknown.
Another thing I am worried about in Geni, is this "blocked user" function. How do you know if Mr. Husted has put you in his block list? Or others who don't accept your requests? If we all will start blocking out each others, we are all struck. It will be "Game over" for all you blockers. What a stupid game it is going to be....
I have printed and forwarded this discussion to Gen as followsi:

collaberation issues. I dont know if you check discussions for problems with Geni, so I am sending a printed pdf copy of discussions by some frustrated users. Hope this helps us all. Thank you.
asked geni about this user, and they also say what is so easy to see for every one.
that even tho i have become a manager for a lot of his profiles on 1 of his profiles here.
he stil have 2 more profiles, that he run tree`s from.
so this will be a lot of merge issues for us all,the day he let them go.
is geni going to do anything about it,does not seems like it :-(
