any info would be appreciated...

This is my great grandfather through his son Barney.

His father was Peter E. Potter and his mother was Elizabeth Hinkle. Peter served in the 2nd Tennesse Cavalry USA in the Civil War and was captured. I can't find anything beyond Peter.

Hi Alan. So who is your great grandfather? I know Barney is my great uncle on my dads side-Jack everett potter is my grandfather and ida is Jacks wife-they are both buried in Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Alfred Whitfield is your G-Pa. I can be a bit slow at times-lol. I would love to know more about your connections and would be thrilled to fill you in with what I have...Shelly

I believe i can go back further to john and then to johnson potter as well. do you have any of that info?

I'm afraid I don't know much about the Potters. My mother is Kathryn Potter born 1937, her father is Barney Potter born 1908. My mother's mother died when she was 3 and was raised by her mother's family, the Elledges. She was pretty much cut off from the Potters. I met Barney once or twice when I was a kid but I know nothing about his life. I just started looking a couple of days ago and can't find out who Peter E. Potter's parents were. Peter was Alfred Whitfield's father. and Alfrd was Barney's father. I know they came from Tennessee and there are a lot of Potter's their but I can't tie them to Peter. Any help? Thanks, Alan.
