How do I detach Benjamin Gorton as a husband of my ancestor Daniel Coles? My personal tree has no info on Benjamin Gorton - he isn't listed in my Gorton line as the son of Samuel Gorton (1592-1677) and Mary Maplet (1609-1646). But my main concern is UNMARRYING him from my ancestor, lol. I don't get any options to detach or delete him. Thanks.

I unmerged one of my Daniel Coles that didn't have his partner as Benjamin Gorton. I'm not sure how this merge or partnering has occurred. I haven't worked on this side of the tree in almost two years. I too would like to know how to un partner someone. - Thank you.

I think the profile error is on geni tree under J. Cole profile.

I think I got it. There was no Benjamin Gorton. This was actually female M Gorton daughter of Samuel and Mary. I change the profile and should be able to finish research from here. ( I don't know if it is right or not just trying to get so we can merge or not.)

I think someone else actually did the merging, and also merged some of my other lines, such as grandfathers with grandsons etc. Without thinking about it first, unfortunately, I deleted her from my collaborators. She might be one of yours; I'll send you the name.
I tried unmerging everything a few nights ago, but that didn't make any difference except to disconnect me from my own tree! LOL
I redid those merges. It'd be lots less aggravating if GENI were faster in loading!
We'll figure this out eventually!
Thanks Chad!

Just saw your other messages after I posted. Yes, that sounds right! Thanks! I know in my research I found a Maher, our Mahershallasbaz, and a Maler. That's probably what it was! Will try the merges too, thanks!

Only problem now is, Mahershallalhasbaz's wife is Sarah Carder! LOL
