There are many lines where there are more than one set of parents and no way in the present to know who the true parents are, and this causes a huge mess in the tree than can't be cleaned up, so I would like to see an option to have multiple parents so that offspring, spouses and children can be merged into a clean looking tree. At some point when the true parents are determined the optional parent(?) can be deleted.
One case in point is Matthew Howard. There are 3 all potentially viable possibilities for parents and no amount of time cleaning it up will solve the problem.
