When I was a kid, my mom used to get these Filipino sweets from some where (maybe she made some too!). I remember a purple one wrapped in banana leaves with the savory smell of cooked coconut. I'd like to eat it again, but I have no idea what the name is.
There's also sweet that was tinged in orange and topped with plenty of fresh grated coconut. I've been doing experiments on these dishes, and they're actually fairly tricky to make. (Meaning, yes, they can be made, but made good? That's a different story.)
Does anyone have a dish they wish they could eat now?
