After raising 15 kids she still was happy and proud of her family. Each of her children grew up to be loving family people, pillars of the community. I loved to read and she gave me a collection of classics which I loved. She often spoke French and I wish she could know how I love French. She made clothes for me on her old-fashioned Singer sewing machine. Dirndl skirts i treasured. Absolutely beautiful. I loved her tomato barley soup, an absolute delight. She gave me pansies which I planted in her garden. Grandmere there are still pansies, pensees of you.
