I have seen uncle Shika few times after the end of the War. I left Kiev in 1955 and never seen him again. He was a very kind and calm person - my childish impression.
On the photo Shika looks like typical Zhitomirsky, especially Iosef Zgitomirsky - my lovely uncle that lived on Podol with his sister Vera Denenberg not far from my home.
