JUDY KAY WIED, 56, of Houston and formerly from Nada, TX passed away on June 26, 2010 in Columbus, TX.Born on Jan. 11, 1954 in El Campo, TX and daughter of R.H. "Red" Wied and Gertrude Staff Wied. Judy started her nursing career as an Emergency Room Nurse for eight years at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio and then at Spring Branch Medical Center in Houston for twenty-four years.She is survived by her husband, Rusty Brents of Houston; mother, Gertrude Wied of Nada; sisters, Carol Korenek and husband Dennis of El Campo, TX and Janet Mahalitc and husband Al of Matthews, TX; brothers, Allen Wied of Pierce, TX, R.H. "Curly" Wied of Nada, TX, Marvin Wied and wife Sandy of Alleyton, TX and Carl Wied and wife Angela of Weimar, TX; and numerous relatives, nieces, nephews, and great nephews. Her father preceded Judy in death.Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday June 29, 2010 at Waltrip Funeral Home at 1415 Campbell Rd. in Houston and at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the Rosary be recited at 10:30 AM. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 30, 2010 at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus. Interment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Nada, TX. Pallbearers are Al and Chad Mahalitc, Dennis and Kevin Korenek, Trent Wied and Chris Matthews.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mary Catholic Church, P.O.
