Pete Hammond was my grandfather but he left before he knew my Grandmother was expecting a child, my father Thomas Harold Hammond.
Pete and Ruby was married in Birminham Al. I am not sure where he was from.
They lived in various places ie.. Gordan and Gilmer county Ga
He wore White pressed dress shirts although he was a mechanic in the Cotton Mill.
He also like to act in the circus in the music shows.
He left saying he was going to Texas but my grandmother never heard from him again. His was born in the late 1800 - 1910.
If he sounds familiar to you I would so love to know of my grandfather. I do have a picture of him. He was very tall.
