I want to request all discussions not part of my family be removed from my family page. None of these discussions are applicable to my family and they are harassing to me. Most of my family is not online or take part in Geni rarely, if ever. I have found almost zero discussions applicable to my family. I have reset settings but don't want to completely remove a chance of catching one possible family member posting, if it should happen. The amount of email I receive notifying me of messages which do not apply to me is disgusting and far too time-consuming. Thank you for your consideration.

You can change your notifications there ^^.

When we post discussions, it doesn't ask us who to notify. I am not going to stop posting discussions because you don't know how to change your preferences or create filters on your email.

Secondly: Take a closer look further up on this page: There is a Follow/Unfollow link there, guess what to chose ;-)

Anyhow: When someone in your family or collaborator group starts a new discussion you will get it in the news-feed just to give you the chance to follow or unfollow it. It is still your choice. On the emails you receive from Geni, please take a look on the bottom of the emails, - there should be clear instructions there on how to stop receiving these emails. It is still your own choice and nothing anyone else can help you with.

Have a nice weekend!

Disgusting?

Yes Marsha, your attitude IS!

Susan, I don't get it. What have I done to you?

I have a life Marsha. I don't have extensive time to sit on the internet, work on a genealogy which is very time consuming, then sit forever on Geni trying to figure out settings. Don't even give me a "Disgusting" comment because I just deleted significant public discussions where plenty of others made the same request of you. However, I have 45 minutes to be in my seat for a choral performance and haven't gotten in the shower yet............!
