There is evidence that the middle name is in fact Reid, not Reed, as indicated by the birth record of Thomas Sundercock in 1874.

However - there are several references in Ancestry.co.uk to a John Reed Sundercock - this should be followed up on.

There does seem to be discrepancies in the records.
I thought it would be "Reed" because it would make sense because his mother's maiden name was "Reed". I think we need to find the birth record For John
