Both sides of my father's family came to the US from Asia Minor (Turkey) before the height of the massacres. Family mementos were lost to an unscrupulous antique dealer in the early 1970's. I'm unsure as to how to inquire about Armenian family records in Turkey without endangering any remaining evidence.
I've been impressed with the advice Daniel Walton received in response to his discussion - I welcome any similar input regarding my situation.
