I found this book on line. It is in the Wisconsin State Historical Society and is very detailed about our family in Me. It was written by Cyrus Woodman in 1874 so he interviewed Josephs living children and grandchildren. He is discribed as well. His father the first Capitain Josephe Woodman is listed as organizing the first Maltia in Buxton. It tells of his house under construction being cannoned by the British. I think this is the link to the Revolutionary war.
Good Job . . . . you children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren . . . . well, you get the idea . . . will rise up and call you blessed as they cash their DAR checks for future college education. Of course, all of you ancestors would do the same, but they are taking "dirt naps" at the moment :-) or are they??
